Cookie Policy
Last updated: October 3, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Well Fed & Lived In and its service providers may use cookies and similar technologies. It should be read with the Privacy Policy.
What Cookies Are
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks a browser to store. Cookies can remember a choice, keep a feature working, measure traffic, help protect a site, or support advertising. Similar technologies include pixels, tags, local storage, and software development tools that perform related functions.
A session cookie normally expires when you close the browser. A persistent cookie remains until its stated expiration date or until you delete it. The length of time depends on the cookie’s purpose and the provider that sets it.
Who Sets Cookies
First-party cookies are set by Well Fed & Lived In. Third-party cookies are set by another service whose tools appear on or support the site. A third party may receive technical information when its service loads, and it controls that information under its own privacy terms.
Cookie Categories
Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies support functions that are needed for the site to operate, such as WordPress administrative access, BigScoots and LiteSpeed security and page delivery, WPForms anti-spam processing, and stored consent choices. Because the site cannot function properly without them, they may be used without an optional-cookie choice where the law allows.
Preference Cookies
Preference cookies remember choices such as display or consent settings. They make repeat visits more consistent.
Analytics Cookies
Analytics cookies can show which pages are visited, how readers move through the site, what device or browser is used, and whether a page has a technical problem. Google Site Kit currently connects Search Console and PageSpeed Insights, while Google Analytics setup is incomplete and no Analytics tag is intentionally enabled through Site Kit. If Analytics is enabled later, nonessential analytics will be controlled by consent settings where required.
Advertising Cookies
Advertising cookies can limit repeated ads, measure ad performance, prevent invalid activity, and help select ads. They may be used to build or infer interests from visits to this and other sites when personalized advertising is permitted and selected.
Affiliate Cookies
If you follow an affiliate link, a retailer or affiliate network may use a cookie or similar identifier to credit Well Fed & Lived In if a qualifying purchase occurs. Affiliate tracking does not change the price you pay. Read the Affiliate Disclosure for more information.
Google Advertising Cookies
Well Fed & Lived In may use Google AdSense. When Google advertising is active, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your earlier visits to this website or other websites. Google’s advertising cookies allow Google and its partners to personalize advertising based on those visits.
Google Site Kit is connected to the Well Fed & Lived In AdSense account, and the site is currently under AdSense review. The public site includes Google’s verification meta tag, ads.txt is authorized, and the consent message required for European regulations is published. Ads are not yet serving while Google completes its review, and the WFLI ad loader remains disabled until approval.
You can manage or opt out of personalized Google advertising through Google Ads Settings. You can also review broader industry choices at AboutAds. Other advertising partners may provide separate privacy and opt-out controls.
Consent Choices
Where consent is required, a visitor will be shown choices before nonessential cookies are used. The consent tool may allow categories to be accepted or rejected and may store the choice so the message does not reappear on every page.
Before personalized ads are served to visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, Well Fed & Lived In will use a consent management platform that meets Google’s publisher requirements. A visitor can refuse personalized advertising through the choices shown.
You can change a stored consent choice through the site’s cookie settings when that control is available. You may also clear cookies in your browser, which can cause the consent message to appear again.
Managing Cookies in Your Browser
Most browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies and control whether websites may store them. The exact steps differ by browser. Blocking every cookie can prevent forms, preferences, or other site functions from working as expected.
- Review the privacy or cookie settings in your browser
- Delete existing cookies for this site or for all sites
- Block third-party cookies or use the browser’s tracking-protection tools
- Use the site consent controls to reject optional categories where available
- Manage personalized advertising through the provider links above
Embedded Content and External Services
A page may include content or links from another service, such as a video, retailer, social platform, or email provider. That service may place or read its own cookies when its content loads or when you interact with it. The service’s policy governs those cookies.
Current Cookie Details
The current stack uses WordPress, BigScoots, LiteSpeed Cache, WPForms Lite for the contact form, the official Kit plugin for consented subscriptions and digital products, and Google Site Kit with Search Console and PageSpeed Insights connected. WPForms Lite Connect entry backups are disabled. Google Analytics is not active. AdSense is connected for review, but ads are not yet serving. The final cookie scan will record exact cookie names and durations after the production email, checkout, consent, and advertising configuration is selected.
Well Fed & Lived In reviews the site’s active services before launch and when major tools change so this policy and the consent choices can be updated.
Do Not Track Signals
Browsers may send a “Do Not Track” signal, but websites and service providers do not use one consistent response standard. The choices described in this policy, the site consent controls, and provider opt-out pages offer more direct control.
Changes to This Cookie Policy
This policy may be updated when the site changes its tools, providers, or legal obligations. The effective date at the top will be revised when a material change is published.
