Method
- Stir or shake the prepared coconut milk so its cream and liquid are distributed before measuring. Have the cooked pumpkin cooled and the vanilla extract completed. The five-minute preparation starts with these ingredients ready.
- Use the Ninja BN801 pitcher, stacked blade and locking lid. Add coconut milk and water, followed by pumpkin, vanilla, spice, optional yolks and honey. Add the ice last. Keep within MAX LIQUID; make a double recipe in two standard batches.
- Secure the lid and blend until one even pumpkin-orange mixture remains, with no pumpkin streaks, visible ice chunks or honey ribbons. Stop before opening to check or scrape, then blend again if needed. Spice flecks can remain.
- Divide among the number of servings shown and serve immediately. The optional yolks make a richer drink; omit them for the egg-free preparation, keeping all other amounts unchanged.
Notes
Four servings. The five-minute preparation begins with finished coconut milk, cooked/cooled pumpkin and completed homemade vanilla. Their cooking, cooling, straining and steeping take additional time.
Eight tablespoons honey is half a cup in the complete four-serving batch. It is part of this sweetened recipe. The four raw yolks are optional; omit them for the egg-free preparation without changing other amounts.
Use the BN801 pitcher with its stacked blade and locking lid. At 2×, make two standard batches rather than overfilling. Check the pitcher's MAX LIQUID line. Do not blend hot milk or pumpkin.
Full GAPS after the ingredients used have been introduced. Dairy-free coconut-milk base; not a No-Plant drink. Use completed homemade vanilla without added sugar or non-GAPS additives.
Serve immediately after blending. Prepare the homemade ingredients ahead and keep the milk and pumpkin cold; this is not a finished shake to hold overnight.
