Three-Ingredient Honey Mustard Dressing For Full GAPS

A Full GAPS honey mustard dressing with plain prepared mustard, raw honey and raw apple-cider vinegar. Mix with a fork in a glass jar; no oil or mayonnaise.
Servings: 1 batch
Course: Condiment, Full GAPS

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup plain prepared mustard Use only GAPS-allowed ingredients; yellow, Dijon or brown mustard.
  • 2 tablespoons raw honey
  • 1 teaspoon raw apple-cider vinegar

Equipment

  • Small glass jar with lid
  • Measuring cup and spoons
  • Fork
  • Spoon or small spatula

Method

  1. Put the measured prepared mustard, raw honey and raw apple-cider vinegar into a clean glass jar. Mix with a fork, working through the bottom and sides until the honey is evenly incorporated and no separate sticky layer remains. Spoon onto food when serving. Cover any extra and refrigerate.

Notes

Mustard: Use plain prepared mustard, not dry mustard powder. Choose only GAPS-allowed ingredients. Yellow, Dijon or brown mustard will give different heat and texture.
Mixing: Work the fork through the bottom so no unmixed honey remains. This dressing has no oil or mayonnaise and does not need cooking.
Yield: One batch. Spoon onto individual portions and refrigerate extra; no measured final cup yield is given.
Full GAPS: After mustard, honey and cider vinegar have been introduced. No dairy, egg or nuts in the measured formula. Not No-Plant or a ketogenic recipe.
Storage: Keep extra covered in the refrigerator. Label the jar and stir before using. Use a clean spoon to portion dressing.
